Rocamadour and Lourdes would make two great stops. They're not very far apart, and both are on the way to Spain if we were to come from Mont Saint-Michel. That's not to mention that they're both good pilgrimage and tourist sites none of us have been to (unless, of course, Dan went there on his 18 day trip). Rocamodour looks especially stunning... a city and monastery built on the side of a mountain. Of course, Lourdes is well-known for its healing springs and Marian apparition.
Note by TravelDan: Prices are not so bad here, I just found a hotel for €45 that includes a WC and shower for 3 persons and also could go without the WC but still have the shower for €40. This was in Racamadour. That was one of the first places. Also there is camping for really really cheap but only about half of that price for the same number of persons. As we get closer we can research more for prices.

I didn't ever go to Lourdes because I would have had to get off the train at 3am coming back from Spain to transfer but I totally just went to sleep on that very same train at 1am. I should have gone but I told myself "Next European trip," so I guess we best be going there.
