Normandy and all that!

Well, why just go to Mont Saint-Michel when you can also visit other things in Normandy! If you don't know of anything else to see there, you need to read more history. I have always wanted to go to Normandy Beach and see where the battles took place on D-Day. In fact June 6, 2009 will be the 65Th anniversary of D-Day. This city of Caen looks really interesting, with some beautiful abbeys and a decently intact castle. You could probably spend several weeks just seeing each little town with its abbey and castle and this and that. Like much of Europe, there are tons of things to do. Unfortunitly France is one of the more expensive countries to visit as far as tourism goes and therefore trips to France should be limited to what is absolutely wanted like Paris, Normandy Beach, Lourdes and Roma-whats-its-name. Since we would already be up in the area it is an idea to see other things like the Caen and would be fun if we could find some places to stay that were cheap. I will have to look into this later.
