Yet Another Reason

Now it has been a while since my last post, I have had a pretty crazy week. First of all, like most weeks I host some sort of small get together with my friends but this week I also got a new roommate. Also with work I tend to be pretty tired coming home and just want to relax, watch a movie, or go to sleep. But do not be fooled, I do enjoy a lively party... and that is where our next topic begins

3. The Fun! - Now there are many things that can be considered fun, like if you enjoyed history, what was described in the previous post would be considered "fun;" however that is not what I mean by the title of this reason. Fun for the purpose of this paragraph means the unattached and irresponsible type of fun. Here in the United States we have bars and dance clubs to go to when we want to have "fun." In these situations we are allowed to drink, talk and flirt with people. Quite often these situations are without strings because you will probably never meet these people again and you don't really look for a spouse in a bar. Although meaningful relationships can actually occur and begin in these places, most people go out to have fun without being held accountable for their actions by most of their family members, friends or coworkers. Now you think that this isn't the case with everyone but these are the places that you do not have to worry about it ever getting back to you and therefore of course you don't hear about certain people and their crazy lifestyle because it never caught up with them. Europe is the perfect place to have unresponsible fun! It is not necessarily irresponsible because that would me that someone might get hurt, but unresponsible means that you have no responsibility. What happens in Europe stays in Europe! Another good form of this sort of detached lifestyle can be found in the college lifestyle but that is another blog and another day. There are many reasons as to why it is so ideal to do crazy things in Europe. First is the fact that if you did get caught for something that you might wish to do, it might not even be illegal there. Case in point is the drug issue, in some countries, drug use is not considered to be either a punishable offense or not an offense at all. Although I do not condone the use of drugs for health reasons, this is one of the most well known examples of unresponsible living about Europe. There are many other ways one might live an unresponsible lifestyle that might scandalize many but really doesn't break anything but social norm. You could sleep in the trainstation or on a park bench and your friends at home will never know. You can gamble and nobody will ever know you went to Monte Casino unless you tell them you did. You can even flirt with a new girl in every city and never fear it ever getting back to you because even if she did know where you were from, you're too far away for her to come and visit! Now that can be a bad thing too because you might find the woman of your dreams and not stay with her because of the distance. The problem with this reason is that I cannot tell you any of my stories because then that would let my friends, family and coworkers know what crazy things I did in Europe that I don't want anyone else to know.
